Overview

This three-hour course aims to equip managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster a neuro-inclusive workplace. Understanding and embracing neurodiversity is crucial for creating environments where all employees, regardless of how their mind works, can thrive. Learners will learn to leverage the strengths of neurodivergent individuals, enhance communication strategies, and implement inclusive practices that benefit both employees and the organisation.

Through a combination of interactive discussions, case studies, and group activities, learners will gain valuable insights in how to embrace neurodiversity and provide a supportive inclusive workplace for all.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define neurodiversity and the common neurological differences such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia
  • Identify and appreciate the unique strengths of neurodivergent individuals
  • Develop effective communication strategies for managing diverse teams
  • Implement inclusive practices to create a supportive work environment
  • Navigate legal and ethical considerations related to neurodiversity

Format

When it comes to delivering online courses, we understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we facilitate a variety of different activities to enhance your understanding of the workshop content.

We encourage open discussion and participation, giving you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, engage in teamwork and work on your communication skills! We want to hear what you’ve got to say, so ask that your cameras and mics are switched on for the session.

You’ll have the chance to work individually and within small break-out groups as we complete a range of exercises including quizzes and polls, ultimately building both your confidence and expertise.

For a more personalised experience and to ensure a truly interactive workshop, we’ve found that group numbers are best kept between 8 and 10 delegates, with no more than 12 spaces being available.

We will provide you with a PDF of the workshop slides, copies of relevant handouts and a list of book recommendations discussed during the session!
