Location

Our office is in a restored cotton mill building at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Darley Abbey Mills.

To get a better feel of this scenic and historically interesting location, have a virtual fly around!

Directions

Just put the following postcode in your sat nav to get to the mill complex:
DE22 1DZ

Depending on your direction, you may come through Darley Abbey Village, down Old Lane, and over the toll bridge, or alternatively off the A61, down Alfreton Road, and past the rugby club.

UPDATE: THE TOLL BRIDGE HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS AND REPLACED WITH A PEDESTRIAN-ONLY TEMPORARY BRIDGE! SO, IF YOU’RE DRIVING VIA DARLEY ABBEY VILLAGE, YOU’LL NEED TO PARK ON THAT SIDE OF THE RIVER AND WALK ACROSS!

If you’re coming from the A61 / rugby club direction, drive with caution past the rugby club as recent floods have done a lot of damage to the road surface of Haslam’s Lane.

Office

The mill complex is surprisingly big and confusing, so it’s easy to get lost.

We’re in the Middle Mill, on the main Haslams Lane route through the mill complex, but unfortunately it isn’t signposted very well.

If you’re coming from the A61 / rugby club direction, we’re on the left just after you’ve gone past the building on the left with the ‘Element’ signage. If you get to the bridge then you’ve gone too far!

If you’re coming from the Darley Abbey Bridge direction, go past Darley’s Restaurant on the right, then we’re just on the right after the building on the right with the ‘Long Mill’ signage. If you start going past cottages on the left then you’ve gone too far!

You’re looking for a somewhat inconspicuous green/grey door in the middle of a large mill building which as a small car park in front of it. There is a black sign listing occupants high up on the wall in the middle of the building, with ‘Loates HR’ in unhelpfully small text.

It will probably be easier for you to look for the much more prominent signage of our parking spaces against the front wall of the building, over to the right. The front door is to the left of these.

Through the front door we are immediately inside on the right, with a dark grey and glass office door.

If you get completely lost, don’t panic, just give us a ring on 01332 890 345 and we’ll come out and find you!

Parking

There is free parking on site, either in the small car park immediately outside our building, or in the bigger car park opposite on the other side of Haslams Lane. If you can’t find any free space on site, please use the rugby club car park (A61 direction) or the public Darley Park car park near the Abbey and Paper Mill pubs (Darley Abbey village direction), both of which are free and only a short walking distance away.

If you let us know you’re coming, we’ll reserve you one of our parking spaces. Just look for the giant green cones in front of our building! Give us a ring when you get here and we’ll come out and move it.

Otherwise, you can park in any space that doesn’t have a business sign on it.

WARNING: PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SOME OF OUR NEIGHBOURING COMPANIES WITHIN THE MILLS COMPLEX HAVE RECENTLY STARTED ENFORCING THEIR RESERVED PARKING SPACES, SO YOU MAY GET FINED IF YOU PARK IN A NAMED SPACE OTHER THAN ONE OF OURS.

ALSO, IF YOU’RE COMING IN FROM THE VILLAGE SIDE, DON’T PARK ON THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES BY THE FOOTBRIDGE, AS PARKING TICKETS ARE REGULARLY ISSUED THERE.

Accessibility

Our office is on the ground floor, and is fully wheelchair accessible.

We also have private wheelchair accessible toilet facilities available within our office.

We have allocated parking spaces immediately outside our office building, so can reserve one of these for you if that would help.

If you have any other accessibility requirements, please let us know in advance of your visit and we will do everything we can to accommodate them.
