Overview

Through a combination of interactive discussions, case studies, and group activities, learners will gain valuable insights in how to embrace neurodiversity and provide a supportive inclusive workplace for all.

This 3-hour course is designed for team members seeking a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and its impact on the workplace. Learners will explore various neurodivergent conditions, gaining insights into the strengths and challenges associated with each. The focus is on fostering awareness, empathy, and a supportive team environment.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Develop a foundational awareness of neurodiversity and its significance within the team
  • Understand various neurodivergent conditions and their unique characteristics
  • Recognise the strengths and challenges associated with neurodivergent team members
  • Enhance communication skills to promote understanding and collaboration
  • Cultivate a culture of empathy, acceptance, and support for neurodivergent colleagues

Format

When it comes to delivering online courses, we understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we facilitate a variety of different activities to enhance your understanding of the workshop content.

We encourage open discussion and participation, giving you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, engage in teamwork and work on your communication skills! We want to hear what you’ve got to say, so ask that your cameras and mics are switched on for the session.

You’ll have the chance to work individually and within small break-out groups as we complete a range of exercises including quizzes and polls, ultimately building both your confidence and expertise.

For a more personalised experience and to ensure a truly interactive workshop, we’ve found that group numbers are best kept between 8 and 10 delegates, with no more than 12 spaces being available.

We will provide you with a PDF of the workshop slides, copies of relevant handouts and a list of book recommendations discussed during the session!
