How to be an Authentic Leader
Tuesday 21st May , 09:30 – 12:30
Are you looking for ways to empower and engage your team? Is building rapport and gaining the trust of your colleagues important to you as a leader? Could you benefit from some self-reflection and tips on how to remain authentic in times of crisis?
Authentic leadership is a powerful leadership approach that emphasises self-awareness, transparency and the ability to connect with others on a genuine level.
This workshop will help you to understand the principles of authentic leadership and begin to develop your own authentic style. We’ll discuss how communication and active listening are vital skills for creating a positive and inclusive team culture, as well as exploring practical ways to motivate your team.
Ideal for both new and aspiring managers as well as existing managers who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills, you’ll leave this workshop with valuable insights into the theories and practicalities behind authentic leadership.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Define the concept of authentic leadership and its importance in today’s leadership landscape
- Identify your own values, strengths and areas for growth as an authentic leader
- Develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence to build stronger interpersonal relationships
- Apply authentic leadership principles to motivate and inspire your team
- Navigate challenging leadership situations with authenticity and integrity
When it comes to delivering online courses, we understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we facilitate a variety of different activities to enhance your understanding of the workshop content.
We encourage open discussion and participation, giving you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, engage in teamwork and work on your communication skills! We want to hear what you’ve got to say, so ask that your cameras and mics are switched on for the session.
You’ll have the chance to work individually and within small break-out groups as we complete a range of exercises including quizzes and polls, ultimately building both your confidence and expertise.
For a more personalised experience and to ensure a truly interactive workshop, we’ve found that group numbers are best kept between 8 and 10 delegates, with no more than 12 spaces being available.
Looking for more in-depth, face-to-face learning? Have a look at our on-demand management training modules.
We will provide you with a PDF of the workshop slides, copies of relevant handouts and a list of book recommendations discussed during the session!
