How to Resolve Workplace Conflict
Wednesday 12th June , 09:30 – 12:30
Overview
Have you had to deal with some challenging situations between colleagues in your business? Have you witnessed interpersonal conflict and aren’t sure how to resolve it? Do you need some pointers on the best way to ‘clear the air’ following a dispute?
Conflict can stem from a real or perceived threat to one’s core needs, values or goals, and can be debilitating for an organisation and its employees. It can be tricky to know how to move forward harmoniously whilst ensuring those involved feel supported.
During this workshop, you’ll discover different ways of resolving conflict in the workplace, including holding discussions with those affected and how to confidently have difficult conversations.
We’ll also discuss the importance of mediation and how an external, independent mediator can help you navigate through any associated or unexpected challenges.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Confidently ‘nip employee relations issues in the bud’ and stop them from escalating
- Proactively manage conflict, contributing to a happy and harmonious workplace
- Understand some of the reasons why conflict arises
- Hold constructive conversations with those involved in conflict
Format
When it comes to delivering online courses, we understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we facilitate a variety of different activities to enhance your understanding of the workshop content.
We encourage open discussion and participation, giving you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, engage in teamwork and work on your communication skills! We want to hear what you’ve got to say, so ask that your cameras and mics are switched on for the session.
You’ll have the chance to work individually and within small break-out groups as we complete a range of exercises including quizzes and polls, ultimately building both your confidence and expertise.
For a more personalised experience and to ensure a truly interactive workshop, we’ve found that group numbers are best kept between 8 and 10 delegates, with no more than 12 spaces being available.

Resources Included
We will provide you with a PDF of the workshop slides, copies of relevant handouts and a list of book recommendations discussed during the session!
