About Me

Annie Litchfield delivering leadership & management training

Hi there! I’m Annie, Training Consultant at Loates.

Throughout my training career (which now spans more than 20 years!) I’ve always been chasing the same dream: to feed my passion for helping others. I aim to bring a vibrancy and exuberance no matter what my role is – from small, family run businesses to multi-national corporations, my experience covers a whole host of sectors and sizes.

If you find yourself attending one of my training courses, there won’t be a stuffy meeting room or endless PowerPoint slides to endure. And whilst I’m happy to waffle on about the theory behind a topic, I prefer to take an interactive approach, meaning you’ll actually put your learning into practice and have fun – think post-it notes, Duplo bricks, fidget toys, group exercises, case studies and quizzes! Any excuse to get creative!

With a constant eye on my own personal development, I’m always looking at ways to improve and get inspired – I love getting stuck into a good non-fiction book or adding to my own skills, which is why since joining Loates, I’ve become an accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor.

My Skills & Attributes

  • Delivering comprehensive training programmes from needs analysis to delivery and evaluation. I’m a big believer in value for money and very thorough with delivering on my promises
  • Straight talking and down to earth – I pride myself in being able to engage with anyone, and my jargon-free, no-nonsense approach brings a refreshing feel to my training!
  • Passionate advocate for mental wellbeing, often using my own experiences to educate and inform others of its importance, inside and outside of the workplace

My Qualifications & Accreditations

  • MHFA England accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor
  • Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD)
  • Postgraduate diploma in Learning & Development
  • BSc degree in Communication Studies

My Training Testimonials

I would definitely recommend this training

I attended and completed the MHFA training in May 2024 with Annie Litchfield and found it to be incredibly interesting. Annie’s approach was friendly and constantly kept all the trainees involved and entertained. I found there is so much awareness on mental health however this training provided a lot more depth and insight into the sign posts and support available. I would definitely recommend this training.

MHFA Training

I completed my training for this course over two weeks (four sessions) online. It was very detailed and informative. The course was packed with content relevant to Mental Health and the trainers were knowledgeable and very approachable, it was also a very down to earth group.

I felt like I’d accomplished something after the training had finished and I was a lot more confident in knowing I could help someone with the knowledge I’d learnt. I would recommend anyone to do this course.

A good start

A good start to mental health issues. I work with a lot of people with social anxiety and was hoping to gain more info on this topic but understand it may be a bit niche. I have definitely upskilled by attending this course.

A great training session

I just wanted to say thank you to Sarah and Annie for a great training session yesterday for Timms Solicitors partners, associates and the management team. We thoroughly enjoyed the session and the energy in the room was brilliant. I have learnt a great deal about my team and they have learnt about themselves and how to manage their behaviour in the office and gain respect from the staff. I must say I was very proud of the way they all engaged and the contributions they made. Thank you so much for bringing out the best in us.

Great Course

I really enjoyed this course and the content was just right. A valuable insight into mental health and how it may impact on the individual you are supporting. Signs to look out for, some of which are not obvious. A lot of group work, which I prefer, as you can brain storm together and learn from each other. Some great video’s to watch too.
How to be an ‘active listener’, which is not as easy as it sounds. Role play helped with this. The manual you can access online is a great resource.
What an honour to gain this qualification and to be able to support your colleagues.
