If you are a Mental Health First Aider you have skills for life that support you and the people around you. We believe that mental health should be treated equally to physical health – and just like physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid training should be kept up to date.
MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
This course is a skills update for those who have previously undertaken the full two-day Mental Heath First Aid (MHFA) course.
MHFA England recommend that Mental Health First Aid skills are refreshed every three years.

Broadcasting live and direct from our dedicated online training suite at Loates HQ, or one of our well-equipped satellite studios!
We’re the arm of Loates Business Solutions that’s specifically focussed on workplace wellbeing. We cover both the mental and physical aspects of occupational health, and are responsible for delivering accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.
In addition to our public scheduled courses, we also offer the option of on-demand private training that’s exclusive to your organisation.
This can provide a particularly convenient and cost-effective solution if you have a large number of staff members to train.
And it’s also tremendously flexible.
Since on-demand courses only have your delegates attending, we can customise them to be specific to the policies and processes of your organisation, and tailor course lengths and depths to suit your particular needs. Likewise, we can combine material from several existing courses, develop fully bespoke content, or combine multiple courses into full programmes of training.
And we can deliver this training whenever and wherever is best for you; in-house at your venue, at one of our training venues, somewhere else entirely, online, or any combination of these.
For an idea of the types of on-demand training that we can provide, just take a look at our on-demand training catalogue.
To find out more about our on-demand delivery options, please contact us to arrange an informal chat with one of our friendly and down-to-earth training instructors.
