Outline
Overview
Are you seeing higher levels of absenteeism in your team? Have you noticed any of your colleagues experiencing symptoms of poor mental health? Are you keen to offer help and support but are unsure about how to start a conversation about mental health?
Discussing mental health can be daunting, and fear of saying the wrong thing can become an unhelpful barrier. By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and understand the most appropriate terminology and language to use when starting a conversation.
We’ll discuss practical ways to listen without judgement and how best to approach a sensitive situation, including awareness of useful resources and how to access additional professional support.
You’ll leave this workshop with knowledge of common mental health challenges, action planning and conversation templates, and an appreciation of how your own self-care can facilitate providing better support for others.

On-Demand Delivery
In addition to our public scheduled courses, we also offer the option of on-demand private training that’s exclusive to your organisation.
This can provide a particularly convenient and cost-effective solution if you have a large number of staff members to train.
And it’s also tremendously flexible.
Since on-demand courses only have your delegates attending, we can customise them to be specific to the policies and processes of your organisation, and tailor course lengths and depths to suit your particular needs. Likewise, we can combine material from several existing courses, develop fully bespoke content, or combine multiple courses into full programmes of training.
And we can deliver this training whenever and wherever is best for you; in-house at your venue, at one of our training venues, somewhere else entirely, online, or any combination of these.
For an idea of the types of on-demand training that we can provide, just take a look at our on-demand training catalogue.
To find out more about our on-demand delivery options, please contact us to arrange an informal chat with one of our friendly and down-to-earth training instructors.
