Overview

Are you responsible for managing your team’s performance? Are you looking to give it a boost but not sure where to start? Are motivation levels dropping and moving your focus away from company objectives?

Juggling your own job whilst keeping an eye on how others are doing can be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve designed a workshop to help you adopt a modern outlook towards performance management – one that is centered around coaching and collaboration, rather than annual reviews and infrequent feedback.

We’ll discuss what performance management actually is and why it’s important to both the employer (for achieving goals) and the employee (for ensuring job satisfaction and therefore retention).

Together, we will explore some of the reasons for poor performance, how to find out what motivates your team and putting plans in place for the future to establish a more positive working environment.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify factors that affect performance and focus on the positive ones
  • Conduct effective one-to-ones
  • Understand how to approach poor performing employees
  • Structure personal development plans
  • Set expectations and objectives

Format

When it comes to delivering online courses, we understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we facilitate a variety of different activities to enhance your understanding of the workshop content.

We encourage open discussion and participation, giving you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, engage in teamwork and work on your communication skills! We want to hear what you’ve got to say, so ask that your cameras and mics are switched on for the session.

You’ll have the chance to work individually and within small break-out groups as we complete a range of exercises including quizzes and polls, ultimately building both your confidence and expertise.

For a more personalised experience and to ensure a truly interactive workshop, we’ve found that group numbers are best kept between 8 and 10 delegates, with no more than 12 spaces being available.

We will provide you with a PDF of the workshop slides, copies of relevant handouts and a list of book recommendations discussed during the session!
